Download Workbench

The desktop app is Workbench at its best: a hotkey away from any app, recording calls from the menu bar, and nudging you before things slip.

What the desktop app adds

Everything in the web app, plus the things only a native app can do.

Quick capture from anywhere

⌃ ⌥ Space opens a floating capture bar over any app.

Botless meeting recording

Captures your mic and system audio from any call app. Start and stop with ⌘ ⌥ R.

Lives in your menu bar

A tray icon with a live recording timer. Close the window and Workbench keeps running.

Native notifications

Deadline reminders and your morning summary, delivered by the OS, not a browser tab.

Call detection

Notices when a Zoom meeting starts and offers to record it, so you never forget to hit the button.

Updates itself

New versions download in the background and install the next time you restart.

Up and running in two minutes

  1. 1

    Install

Open the download and drag Workbench into Applications, or run the installer on Windows and Linux.

  2. 2

Use the same account as the web and mobile apps. Your projects are already there.

  3. 3

    Capture your first task

Press ⌃ ⌥ Space and type what's on your mind.

On macOS, Workbench asks for microphone and system audio access the first time you record a meeting. Nothing is recorded until you press Record.

Pull up a chair at your bench.

Free to start, set up in two minutes. Your next client call ends with the tasks already filed.
